The mission of Redemption Bible Church is to glorify God by making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all of the commandments of Jesus Christ.
We believe the Bible is God’s written revelation to man. We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Scripture of God, the Bible (all sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments), and that they are without error in the original manuscripts, that they have been supernaturally preserved, and that they are the final authority for all matters of faith, life, and conduct. (Is. 40:8; Ps. 119:105; Mt. 5:17-18; Lk. 24:27; Acts 20:32; Rom. 15:4; II Tim. 3:15-17; II Pet. 1:19-21;).
We believe in one true, eternal, and living God, the creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each one equally deserving worship and obedience, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power and unchanging in His being, goodness and truth. (Dt. 6:4; Is. 45:5-7, 21-22; Mt. 28:19; Jh. 4:23, 14:24-26; Acts 5:3; Eph. 1:17, 2:18, 4:4-5; 1 Pet. 1:1-2).
We believe that God the Father sovereignly directs all things according to His own perfect plan and for His own glory. That He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of people, and He willingly and joyfully saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Mt. 6:8-9, 32; Jh. 5:21, 46, 6:44, 14:2; 2 Cor. 1:3,4; Rom. 11:36; Eph. 1:11; 4:6; Ja. 1:17; 1 Jh. 3:1, Lk 15:5-10, 22-24, 32, Mi 7:18, Zp 3:17, Is 63:3-5).
We believe that in the love of God, the Father sent His eternal Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16), born of a virgin, (Is. 7:14; Matt. 1:23, 25; Luke 1:35) He being fully God, one with the Father, and fully man, one with mankind, at the same time. (Jh.1:1-4, 14; 10:30). We believe in His sinless life, (I Pet. 2:22) and that He was offered up as the final sacrifice for our sins on the cross, bore its penalty and shame, and thus He fulfilled the righteous requirements of God’s law for us as a substitutionary atonement. We believe that Jesus Christ was bodily resurrected from the dead and that He ascended to heaven and now sits at the right hand of God where He ever lives to make intercession for his people. (Acts 1:9-11; Rom. 1:4; 3:24-25 8:34; II Cor. 5:14-15, 21; I Pet. 2:24; Heb. 7:25).
We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father, as promised by Christ, to oversee the church. The Holy Spirit is the supernatural agent of regeneration who is given to all who come into the body of Christ, His church. He indwells, teaches, seals, and transforms each believer into the likeness of Christ. He gives gifts to each one, empowering them for worship and service unto God. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. (Gen. 1:2; Ps. 139:7; Jh.14:16-17, 26; 15:26, 16:7-14; Acts 1:5-8; Rom. 8:9-16; II Cor. 3:6, 17-18; Eph. 1:13-14).
We believe that man was created innocent in the image of God. However, man fell into sin willfully, incurring the penalty of physical and spiritual death. All mankind is born with a sinful nature and are sinners in the thought, word and deed, thus deserving eternal punishment. (Gen. 1:26-27, 2:7, 3:1-16; Jer.17:9; Rom. 3:1-24; Eph. 2:1-3; Ja. 3:9).
We believe that salvation is made possible only by God’s grace and solely through our Lord Jesus Christ's death upon the cross. All, who confess and repent from their sin, receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, are justified on the basis of His shed blood and resurrection from the dead. This salvation is by faith alone and not on the basis of human merit or works. They are regenerated instantaneously by the Holy Spirit through the Word and they are empowered to live a new life that bears fruit and glorifies God. They become part of the family of God and are eternally secure, persevering unto everlasting life. (Jh. 1:12-13; 10:26-30, 14:6; Rom. 6:5-11, 8:28-30, 10:9-10; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; Col. 3:9-11; 1Pet. 1:18).
We believe that the universal church is made up of all those who place their faith in Jesus Christ who is the head of the church. (I Cor. 12:12-13; Col. 1:18). The local church is autonomous. (1 Thes. 1:1, Tit. 1:5, Rev. 2:1, 8, 12, 18). The purpose of the church is to glorify God by building its members up in the faith, by the instruction of the Word, by gathering in fellowship, by worship, by prayer, by keeping the ordinances and for evangelism. (I Cor. 1:2, 10:16-17, 11:23-29; Eph. 3:21, 4:11-16; I Tim. 2:1-3, Acts 12:5; Heb. 10:24-25). Jesus commissioned His church to proclaim the gospel and to make disciples of all nations, baptizing those who believe and teaching them to walk in obedience to the Lord Jesus. (Mt. 28:18-20).
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one valid meaning and that is a covenantal union sanctioned by God which joins one biological man and biological woman in a single, exclusive union. (Gen. 2:18-24; Dt. 24:1-4; Mt. 19:4-6; Mk. 10:6-9; 1 Cor. 7:1-16, 39). We believe that any form of sexual immorality, such as adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography, or any attempt to change one’s sex, or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God (Pro. 5:15-19; Heb. 13:4; Mt. 5:27-30; Eph. 5:3; Gal. 5:19; 1 Cor. 6:9, 18-20; 1 Thes. 4:3-5).
We believe that angels are created beings. Some are holy, who worship and serve God. (Is. 6:1-4; Lk. 2:9-19; Heb. 1:6-7; Rev. 5:11-14). Others are fallen and reprobate and they serve their leader, Satan, in their attempt to confound the plan of God. (Is. 14:12-17; Mt. 25:41; Rev. 12:7-12).
We believe in a personal imminent return of Christ. (Mt 24:42-51,1Th. 4:13-18). None but the Father know when this return shall be (Mt 24:36, Rom. 13:11-12, Ja 5:8, 1 Pe 4:7). We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind, the everlasting existence with God of the saved and the everlasting separation from God of the unsaved. (Dan. 12:2; Mt. 25:41-46; Jh. 5:22-29; Acts 24:14-15; I Cor. 15:22-24, 51-57). At Christ's coming, Satan, his angels and all the lost will be cast into the lake of fire forever. The saved will spend eternity in the presence of the Lord, sharing forever His glory and righteousness. (Jh. 14:1-3; 17:3; Rev. 20:1-10; Rev. 21, 22).
